GH4648 High temperature alloy

GH4648 superalloy has been listed in TSC printable material team

GH4648 is a Ni-Cr base precipitation hardening deformation superalloy, which can be used in 900℃ for a long time and can resist 1100℃ for a short time. GH4648 has excellent thermal corrosion resistance because it contains about 32% W (Cr). At the same time, the alloy has moderate strength and good resistance to fatigue and creep.

GH4648 material characteristics and printing difficulties

GH4648 has a density of 8.28 g/cm3 and a melting temperature range of 1336℃~1353℃. Non-magnetic. In the chemical composition of the alloy, W and Mo play the role of solution strengthening, Al, Ti and Nb play the role of aging strengthening, and B and Ce play the role of grain boundary strengthening. The thermal strength of the alloy was improved by solution strengthening and aging strengthening.

The technical difficulties of this material are as follows: the high content of Al, Ti and Nb elements in GH4648 alloy leads to poor printing feasibility. At the same time, Cr content is up to 30%, which makes it difficult to optimize the printing process and control the organization.
