  According to the consumer goods 3D printing market report released by VoxelMatters, the number of 3D printed consumer goods parts in 2023 is close to 37 million, an increase of 23% compared to 2022. 3D printing technology is revolutionizing the manufacturing methods of the consumer goods industry and opening up new growth paths.

  LiM Laser has developed LIM-X400M equipment to meet the efficient production needs of consumer goods industry users, mainly providing metal 3D printing solutions for mold manufacturing, 3C electronics, medical, education, cultural and creative industries.   On the one hand, the LiM-X400M equipment laser configuration is updated, and the user can choose two 3000W ultra-high power lasers to achieve 0.4mm large layer thickness printing, further improving production efficiency. On the other hand, the LiM-X400M+ equipment is launched, and the forming size is upgraded to 400mm×300mm×450mm, with larger forming space to meet the needs of more users for complex structural parts production and mass production.

  The LiM-X400M series devices are equipped with self-developed software, which can realize the printing of various layer thickness parts at one time, such as 0.04mm layer thickness can be flexibly adjusted to 0.02mm layer thickness, saving the operation time in the middle of the stop, and effectively improving the forming efficiency of parts.

  Substrate temperature, set separately, more excellent forming

  The chip end provides a temperature control function, which can set different substrate temperatures for different printing heights and different printing stages (the preheating temperature range of the substrate is 20-° C~ 350-° C) to ensure the smooth printing process, effectively improve the stress and deformation caused by product structure characteristics, and ensure the forming quality.

  Predict efficiently, avoid problems, and manage smarter

  Predictive maintenance is provided for the most common alarm of the overflow of powder drums in the printing process, and users can predict the cleaning time of the overflow of powder drums through the powder volume curve to avoid unexpected downtime. Sensor data and log files during the printing process are recorded by the printing work unit to support production quality management.

  Process inspection, real-time monitoring, more consistent quality

  The molten pool monitoring system can be configured to monitor, analyze and evaluate the molten pool information of laser selective melting equipment in real time to realize the defect detection and process quality traceability of additive manufacturing process. On the one hand, it can detect whether the molten pool is unstable in real time, and on the other hand, it can be used as a quantitative pointer for process strategy optimization to ensure the quality and consistency of parts.

  Form cooling water mold

  The injection molding process is to inject the molten plastic with a higher temperature into the mold with a lower temperature through high pressure, and get the required finished product after cooling and curing. The mold temperature control is an important part of the injection molding, and the cooling water system is usually used to achieve rapid and uniform cooling. It can be said that the layout design of the cooling waterway directly affects the quality of the injection molding product and the production cycle.

  Under the traditional processing method, the mold cooling water can only form a cylindrical straight hole, which can not be completely close to the surface of the injection part to achieve the best mold temperature state, resulting in uneven cooling and low efficiency, affecting the quality of the finished product and production efficiency.

  Contrast between traditional water way and follow-up cooling water way

  Metal 3D printing technology can break through the limitations of traditional processing and produce a mold with a complex cooling water system: within a reasonable range, the shape and cross-section of the cooling water can be freely designed, and the water will closely fit the profile of the surface of the mold cavity to achieve a faster and more uniform cooling effect, thereby improving the quality of injection parts, shortening the cooling time, and improving production efficiency.

  Grafting water mold

This method is mainly used to form the cooling part of the mold insert separately on the cutting plane of the traditional machined parts, which is conducive to reducing the internal stress of the product, avoiding the risk of deformation and cracking, and completing the production of complex waterway molds with lower cost and faster efficiency.
