  Oxygen content monitoring in the molding chamber

  Metal 3D printing equipment requires the use of inert gas for protection throughout the entire processing process. In order to prevent gas leakage from causing safety risks, the equipment is equipped with an oxygen content monitoring system in the molding chamber, which ensures that the oxygen concentration in the molding chamber is maintained within 100ppm by real-time monitoring, and an automatic alarm is issued for exceeding the limit.

  Human-powder separation design

  SLM technology uses micron-sized metal powder as raw material, once the dust is inhaled into the lungs, it will damage the health of the employees; on the other hand, if the active metal powder is exposed to the air, it will be a safety risk. LiM Laser's multi-dimensional powder recycling program makes the powder flow operation safer and more efficient, in particular, the fully automated powder recycling system can realize the automatic powder feeding, sieving, and overflowing powder recycling, etc., and realize powder recycling during printing under the protection of inert gas. In particular, the fully automatic powder circulation system can realize automatic powder feeding, sieving, overflow powder recovery and other processes, and the whole process is protected by inert gas to realize the circulation of powder in the printing, and the separation of people and powder, which greatly improves safety.

  In addition, the large equipment pickup chamber is equipped with a glove box, the internal inert gas protection, forming a relatively closed operating environment, to ensure that the operator and the effective isolation of metal powder, reducing the risk of inhalation.

  Safety interlock design

  During the operation of metal 3D printing equipment, if the door of the molding chamber is opened improperly, the internal laser may cause injury to personnel. Therefore, with the safety interlock design, the molding chamber hatch cannot be opened when the equipment is in operation, and the laser cannot be used when the hatch is opened, which is a double guarantee to avoid injury.
