  On February 11, 2025, the Long March 8A launch vehicle successfully sent the satellite Internet LEO 02 satellites into the scheduled orbit, and the launch mission was a complete success, marking that China's new-generation launch vehicle family has added a new member, and that the Long March 8 launch vehicle has realized serialization, forming a Sun-synchronous orbit 5-ton and 7-ton capacity echelon, which will strongly enhance China's low and medium-orbital satellite grouping network launch capability.

  The LM-8A rocket is developed on the basis of the LM-8 rocket to meet the demand for medium and low-orbit satellite network launching, and the Beijing Institute of Space Power of the Sixth Academy of China Aerospace Science and Technology Group is responsible for the development of the core and second-stage YF-75DA engine, which contributes to the successful launch of the rocket. According to the overall load demand, the thrust of YF-75DA engine needs to be increased by more than 10% on the basis of YF-75D engine. The development team optimized the thrust increase, closed booster, use and maintenance, and broke through a number of key technologies to ensure the launch mission was a complete success.

Aerospace engine-related parts are mostly large-size, easily deformed and complex structures with high requirements for dimensional accuracy and molding performance. Traditional processing methods have long production cycles, high processing difficulty and low material utilization. Metal 3D printing technology can break through the process limitations to achieve small batch, multi-species, integrated, lightweight manufacturing. Our technical team fully analyzed the structural characteristics of the parts and process requirements, the use of LiM-X400, LiM-X650 equipment for manufacturing and completed as scheduled. After inspection, the molded parts have high dimensional accuracy, excellent performance and good consistency, which can meet the needs of extreme conditions, and successfully passed the user verification.
